Vinh Tran was born and raised in Vietnam, where he obtained a law degree in Hanoi in 2016. Following the attainment of his law degree, Vinh explored various professional fields in pursuit of his true passion. Serendipitously, Vinh discovered the work of Vivian Maier, an American documentary photographer, and became entranced by the beauty of documentary photography. Vinh’s interests lie in long-term documentary photography projects that delve into the intricacies of human connections and conflicts, applying the method of Collaborative Photography to address ethical questions and the objectifying gaze.

Vinh is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Photography at The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).
